The UCLA Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department is seeking a nontenure- track, part-time Lecturer or Visiting Professor to teach two Process Design courses: Process Economics and Analysis and Chemical Process Computer-Aided Design and Analysis. The first course involves integration of chemical engineering fundamentals such as transport phenomena, thermodynamics, separation operations, and reaction engineering and simple economic principles for purpose of designing chemical processes and evaluating alternatives. The second course involves introduction to application of some mathematical and computing methods to chemical engineering design problems; use of simulation programs as automated method of performing steady state material and energy balance calculations. The position is parttime (approx. 38% time) for Winter and Spring Quarter 2015 (01/01/15-06/30/15).
