Dr. Sirikarn Surawanvijit has won first place in the prestigious National American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) 2016 Academic Achievement Award for Best Doctoral Dissertation after previously winning the the California-Nevada Section. The Academic Achievement Award’s purpose is to encourage academic excellence and to give recognition to those graduate students who have made outstanding contributions to the field of public water supply through their work at a university. According to the AWWA, Dr. Surawanvijit’s work is a welcome addition to the water supply field and deserves special recognition. Dr. Surawanvijit is formerly from Prof. Yoram Cohen’s group.
