Virtual Commencement
In lieu of an in-person ceremony at Pauley Pavilion, our virtual commencement will be aired on this website at 12:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday, June 13. You will also be able to watch the ceremony on the Samueli YouTube channel or via our Facebook page. You will be able to watch the ceremony in its entirety or to select the various chapters of the program (website feature only). The ceremony video will feature various traditional elements including the national anthem, the student speaker and individualized graduate slides.

Research interests are in the general area of process systems engineering with a focus on process dynamics, optimization and control as well as on data science and machine learning and their application to chemical engineering. Zhe will graduate this summer and start a postdoctoral position at UCLA to continue research in the data science area.

ENGINEERING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN STUDENT WELFARE
Ghosh graduates with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. During her time at UCLA, she worked as an undergraduate researcher in both Professor Dante Simonetti’s lab and Professor Carlos Morales-Guio’s lab and served as the president of AIChE’s UCLA chapter. She also worked at Marathon Petroleum Corporation and at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In 2020, she received the prestigious honor of a graduate research fellowship from the National Science Foundation. In the fall, Ghosh will start a Ph.D. program in chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
