Chemical Engineering PhD student Brian Walker received first place in the Poster Award at the 2019 UCLA Bioscience Innovation Day last week, May 23rd, at
the Luskin Conference Center. The event is intended to promote awareness of the growing bioscience entrepreneurial ecosystem at UCLA and in the
greater Los Angeles region, and to foster partnerships with companies, investors and entrepreneurs. Brian, a member of the Annabi Lab (Laboratory for
Advanced Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine), presented on his project entitled, “Engineering Conductive and Adhesive Cardiopatches for Cardiac
Tissue Regeneration.”
