Gaurav Sant, a professor of civil and environmental engineering, and Dante Simonetti, an assistant professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, were featured in a story on their single-step SeaChange carbon sequestration technology that removes carbon dioxide from the ocean. Dante Simonetti states, “We’re simply taking the CO2 out of that seawater, and then returning the seawater back into the ocean so the process can start again.”
